Ah ok, I wonder if they're gonna make nuns strip down too.
fwiw I think people should be able to wear whatever clothes they like for the most part. I wouldn't allow the burka in banks, building societies etc and there are quite a few professions that should be barred to anyone who won't uncover their face (nurses, teaching, doctors etc).

They didn't ban the burkini though. That's just bad reporting by the BBC. They have banned the wearing of socially unacceptable religious clothing of all types and especially those that cover most of the face. That is deemed to be inappropriate for a secular country and a German MP has called for the same in Germany.

The "Establishment" dealt with the problems a few English (Liverpool) football supporters caused some time back by banning ALL English football clubs (and by default their supporters) from travelling to and taking part in European competitions.
They seemed all "folded-arms-smug" about it's effectiveness, so maybe banning ALL Muslims from travelling on account of a few likewise disruptive ones is actually the preferred/best/only solution.

I may head off to a water slide park on the costa deal sol later today with the kids. No doubt there will be some loon bird in a niqab-kini enjoying the 90 degree heat with her "bathing" suit uncomfortably stuck to her skin. Hopefully she won't blow up the 8 lane speed racer before we've all had a go!

Being a Muslim is all the reason needed for being taken off a flight and interrogated. I have to go through massive security every time I fly because of MUSLIMS.
OK I accept not every Muslim is a terrorist but every terrorist is a Muslim so expect a lot more racial profiling stirling and Hairy....

Without knowing the thought process of the person that made the claim we don't know if it was an innocent, paranoid mistake or if they were just acting like a cunt. I certainly wouldn't rule out either.
I wouldn't want people reporting what they deem suspicious behaviour to be vilified or prosecuted even if turns out to be completely innocent.

Let's not vilify the two people that reported these young Muslims as suspicious. They reported - "...that the siblings had been looking at a mobile phone screen that showed either Arabic text or the words "praise be to Allah".
They were clearly worried and whether they were frequent flyers or not makes no difference. They were worried about these youngsters but I'll bet they weren't worried by the atheists, Catholics, Protestants, Hindus, Jehovah's Witnesses, Jews and Buddhists on the flight.... Just the Muslims and does anyone really wonder why?
